In the beginning…

Well I am taking the proverbial plunge and broadcasting my thoughts to the world via a personal blog. Hopefully most of what I  write will be encouraging, insightful, and practically beneficial without any of the awkward TMI (Too Much Information) about myself.

The title of the blog, 247Christianity, is the best (among available domain names) description of what I intend to focus on in my writings. The general idea is that Christianity is meant to be a 24/7 faith that is all encompassing rather than a man made religion that is turned on and off like a switch. In other words, there should never be a divide between secular and sacred. Being a Christian is about a lifestyle of faith as opposed to a religion of rituals.

Every aspect of our lives, no matter how seemingly insignificant, is sacred and should be a reflection of our faith in Jesus. And if you do not yet have such a faith, hopefully this blog can remedy that.  🙂

With this in mind, I plan on writing about day to day living, parenting, marriage, science, money, religion, ministry, church, the Bible and most importantly Jesus Christ (not only because of my personal faith in him but more importantly because he truly is the most interesting and influential man of all time). In fact, one of the main categories that will occupy a lot of my writings is dedicated to presenting critically objective evidence to back up the fundamental claims of Jesus, chief of which being his resurrection from the dead.

As I have already mentioned, I hope what I write will be beneficial to those who read it. I know I am excited to write…it is time to get these thoughts out of my head and down on to paper (or in this case, computer screen).
